Gas Barrier Technologies, include Nylon-MXD6
Recommended Grade: S6011
Nylon-MXD6 is being used for film applications, both multilayer and blend. Because of its superior gas barrier property in humid condition, processability and heat stability, Nylon-MXD6 is a good material as a barrier layer of Nylon-6 multilayer films, N-6 blend monolayer films and PET blend films.

The gas barrier property of Nylon films are efficiently improved with Nylon-MXD6 content, in both a multilayer films or blend films.

Nylon-MXD6 dramatically improves the thermoformability of Nylon-6 films. With the range of 0-50 wt%, more Nylon-MXD6 in Nylon-6 lowers thermoforming temperature, shortens preheat time.
